Position Summary
The Financial Analyst provides support to the financial department by managing daily finance tasks with primary focus on LIQAL (Breda), but also supporting the Tokheim Belgium team (Turnhout) and the DFS Netherlands team (Bladel). The main work location is Breda but will be required to occasionally travel to Bladel and Turnhout. The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition. This way it can make the right decisions and accomplish long term success. The function is seen as a key finance role within a dynamic & growing business, where you will report to the Senior Manager Finance.

The position would suit a dynamic and capable postgraduate who has studied Finance/Accounting seeking an entry level role or at an early career stage seeking a new position offering more scope to finance and accounting practices. The Candidate needs to be familiar in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with finance data received from various departments. Attention to detail is paramount as well as the ability to interpretate and cross reference business data received from key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day finance activities in close collaboration with the shared service centre
  • Assist in month-end closing process thus ensuring the delivery of monthly results and supporting information in line with the corporate timetable.
  • Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
  • Deliver best in class P&L and Balance Sheet reporting & analysis in close collaboration with the Senior Finance Manager & the BeNeUK Finance team.
  • Business partner to Finance Director, local Leadership Team and other internal stakeholders.
  • Maintains accounting controls by following policies and procedures
  • Supporting on Sox, Audits, Statutory Filings and Financial Projects

  • A degree in Finance or Economics
  • Excellent Communication skills and Fluency in English is Mandatory. Fluency in Dutch would be desirable or at least learning and currently at a B2 Level or above.
  • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
  • Great attention to detail and focus on quality.
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritize work effectively.
  • Act accountable and pro-active.
  • Strong team player with a flexible attitude
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel)
  • Knowledge of ERP software application MS Dynamics is a plus.
