In briefWithin ICT Group, the business unit Food, Chemicals and Life Sciences works on challenging industrial automation projects in the Food & Beverages, Chemicals & Life Sciences market. We implement and improve production control at our customers through industrial automation with PLCs, Scada, DCS and MES software. We combine existing and new techniques into smart solutions to make production processes faster, more efficient and more sustainable. A team of MES software engineers works within this unit and is involved in the implementation, integration and optimization of the software. Together they ensure that information in the factory is always up-to-date and readily available. You maintain intensive contact with project teams and clients, and you take on an advisory role. You also link and unlock (historical) data from DCS/PLC operating systems, batch systems and logistics systems. As a MES engineer you are involved in the entire project cycle, from design to implementation and deliveryThis is what you like to do
- Working on complex operational automation issues;
- Translate user requirements of clients into concrete solutions;
- programming, testing and implementing industrial information systems;
- Commissioning the software;
- Unlocking data from ERP and OT systems;
- Creation of user-friendly visualization.
This is where you recognize yourself
- You have at least 3 years of experience as an MES software engineer;
- You have experience with Aspentech MES, AVEVA MES and/or Traksys MES;
- You are well acquainted with ISA-95 and ISA-88;
- Experience in using SysML is an advantage;
- Experience with HTML5, SQL, Java or .Net;
- You are strong in understanding processes and making connections;
- You are skilled in drawing up the technical specifications;
- You are fluent in English;
- Don’t have a lot of experience with above but motivated to learn? Sent your application anyway!
